The Macau weekly newspaper, Ponto Final, interviews Edgar Martins about his latest project and collaboration with the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences. This ambitious body of work seeks to scrutinise, expose and hold in tension many of the contradictions and problems inherent in the depiction of death, whilst attempting to understand what death represents through a fundamentally human narrative. The Poetic Impossibility to Manage the Infinite, by Edgar Martins will be on show at The Wolverhampton Art Gallery (UK), from February 7th to the 2nd May 2015. For the first time in the UK tour of this work, Edgar Martins’ exhibition will include a mixed media layout, with photographs and other artworks displayed alongside original ESA technological hardware as well as personal, space-flown possessions of ESA astronauts.
