Since 2019, Luís Preto has followed and documented the day to day life of Hervé Valette, whose disavowal of modern institutions and the postmodernist lifestyle took him to seek refuge in the remote region of northern Portugal.
With a platonic emphasis on the subject and through an empathic approach, this series explores the relationship between the individual, nature and society, questioning how one can elevate oneself from and emerge unscathed from an increasingly materialist culture.
