For nearly two decades, this ongoing project by Edgar Martins has delved into the unseen world of photographic darkrooms and printmaking studios. Using small-format cameras, including 35mm and mobile phones, Martins captures the often-overlooked byproducts of the artistic printing process.
These intimate 6×4″ prints offer a unique glimpse into the analogue heart of photography and printing, showcasing the fascinating traces, tests, and transformations that occur behind the scenes. This series celebrates the accidental beauty, rich textures and chaos inherent in the journey of creating a handmade print.
Offered in a choice of 14 unique prints. To select a specific print, simply add its description in the notes box during checkout or email the studio after payment.
The proceeds from the sale of these prints will be donated to The Moth House’s educational and editorial programs.
